STEM, Strings, and Suicide Prevention

STEM Girls at the Golden Library

The Library’s popular STEM Girls will meet today from 4-5PM.

Girls are awesome. But as they grow up, they’re under-represented in science careers, and sometimes subliminally discouraged from showing interest in these careers. We’re doing our part to change this course by offering STEM events just for girls. All girls are invited to play and learn in an open and nonjudgmental atmosphere. Events are led by Bell Middle School’s Girls in iSTEM Club.

STEM Girls won’t meet again until February, so don’t miss today!

The Historic Preservation Board meets tonight at 6PM at the Public Works building, 1445 10th St. They will “discuss and prioritize intended goals for 2019.” No further information is available. The meeting will not be broadcast live.
