Today, from 10-2, the Briarwood has Celtic Dancers entertaining during brunch.
Tuesday the 17th – St. Patrick’s Day
From 4:30-6:30, the Golden City Brewery is hosting the musical group, Mulligan Stew. Enjoy some rollicking Irish favorites, along with great beer and “Irish-inspired” food. This is a family-friendly event, so bring the kids and/or dogs.
From 5-7, the Briarwood Inn is hosting an Irish Whiskey-tasting. The cost if $55/person for whiskey-tasting with an Irish dinner, and $25 for whiskey without dinner.
At the Buffalo Rose, Irish Dancers will perform from 5:30-6:30. If you feel the impulse to join them, they will lead you in a ceili dance.
The Lookout Mountain Boys will be playing at the Golden Moon Speakeasy on St. Patrick’s Day. Joe, their drummer, has kissed the Blarney Stone. He is still drumming 12 years later despite that disgusting, non-hygienic experience. Probably got something to do with the spiritual aspect of that touristy moment. They have quite a few Irish tunes to spice up the occasion.
If you’re feeling the need for green beer, the Ace Hi has it, by the pint or by the pitcher. They’re also running specials on Killian’s Irish Red, Irish whiskey, Irish car bombs, and Irish mules. The specials are good from now through the 17th, and the green beer is available till it’s gone!
