The City of Golden wants to pass along an opportunity to residents to get rid of a noxious weed which is found in Golden and is a danger to people, plants and wildlife. You are encouraged to pull out and dig up the myrtle spurge in your yard, bag it, and bring it to a designated drop-off location.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, you can drop off your bagged myrtle spurge at the “Purge Your Spurge” event at 900 Jefferson County Parkway in Golden. This event is hosted by Jefferson County Weed & Pest. The first 50 participants will receive native plants! Learn more on the city website.
