Today is the vernal equinox, meaning the day and the night are equally long. There are lots of crocuses in bloom in yards around town, along with some early narcissus (a/k/a daffodils or jonquils). The forecast for the next several days looks very spring-like…mid- to high-60s and sunny. Nice weather for walking! Check the Trails Page if you’re looking for a new adventure.
The Golden Library is now closed, for the duration of the remodel. It is scheduled to reopen on June 12th. In the meantime, the Bookmobile will visit the library parking lot 12-4PM on Sundays and 6-8PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You can pick up and drop off books with them–the return slots in the building will not be available during the remodel. To help you keep track of Bookmobile visits, we’ve added those 3 visits/week to the Golden.com calendar.
You can also use any of the other Jefferson County libraries. The closest one is Lakewood, which is about 8 miles away. Our Golden librarians are going to be loaned out to the other county libraries during the remodel, so if you visit other sites, you may see familiar faces!
