Solar and Data Tonight. Art, Mopar, Miners & Moguls Tomorrow.

Several members of the Sustainability Board will be at the Community Center tonight from 6-8PM for an open house entitled “Let’s Talk Solar.” Please stop by to learn about the proposed ballot initiative to build a solar garden in Golden. Are you a Data Scientist by profession or avocation?  There’s a meetup tonight at 6:30 at Connects Workspace for you and your ilk.  This group was started to meet other people interested in data science to get together in the Golden area to work on data science projects and/or classes. Some ideas for the group: – Work together on personal data science projects – Work on Kaggle or similar competitions – Work through some online data science classes together.  Learn more….

Tomorrow Night
Foothills Art Center is hosting a Last Look at Variations on Growth from 5:30-6:30 with their Executive Director, Hassan Najjar. FREE for FAC Members, Non-members pay regular admission.

After that, for a complete contrast, you can head down the hill to the Mopar Party from 6-10.  Washington Avenue will be closed for a big party to celebrate the opening of the Mile High NHRA Nationals at Bandimere Raceway.

Alternatively, there will be a lecture at the Golden History Center from 6-8 on Georgetown’s Miners and MogulsThe Pike’s Peak Gold Rush made this town. Later, it was called the “Silver Queen of Colorado.” It’s now a popular tourist stop with a loop railway. Georgetown has worn many hats!
