The Chamber is offering a Brown Bag Lunch & Learn at the Library from 1-2PM. The topic is The Business of Multigenerational Workforces.
Did you know, there has been a recent shift in continued employment by the 65+ population? In the last 9 years, the percent of people 65 or older who continue to work has increased from approximately 5% to more than 20% and it continues to grow. Learn more about this growing demographic of employees at this informative Lunch and Learn. Please bring your questions with you. No food is served at this event but you are welcome to bring your Brown Bag lunch with you to eat during the event. 6-7PM at the Library: Snakes Alive! Jefferson County’s Snakes. Fear or fan? View some of Jefferson County’s most common slithering reptiles in this informative hands-on demonstration. A representative from Majestic View Nature Center leads a discussion on identifying snakes, bite first-aid, and debunking some common myths. Caution: Live snakes in attendance!

The Wright continues tomorrow. This is a 3 day summit “showcasing the industry and culture of the outdoors.” The keynote sessions, panel discussions and workshops ­are FREE and open-to-the-public. They do ask that you register in advance. Tomorrow’s sessions include:

6:30-8:45PM Trout Unlimited Meeting at the Mountaineering Center with Special Guest Ron Belak Speaking on Backcountry Fly Fishing. Ron Belak is an award-winning writer and photographer from Evergreen. He has fished the Colorado backcountry as an adult for 40 years. In that time, he has fished about 400 different high lakes and small reservoirs in Colorado, as well as a number in Wyoming, Idaho, Oregon, Alaska, British Columbia, and Argentina. Educated as a scientist with degree in geology and significant coursework in the biological sciences, he approaches fly fishing from an analytical perspective. FRIDAY MAY 3rd – ROTARY ETHICS IN BUSINESS AWARDS

This Friday, Golden Rotary will hold its annual Ethics in Business Awards luncheon. They will be honoring one for-profit and one non-profit organization for their high standards of ethics in business. The public is invited and the luncheon is FREE! Doors open at 11 and the program begins at 11:30. As usual, past Channel 7 weather anchor and current KOA news person Ed Greene will host the luncheon.
