The Downtown Development Authority meets tonight at 6:30 in City Council Chambers. They will consider two requests for sign grants: a $2500 request to fund half the cost of signs for the new Colorado Plus Cidery and Pub going in at 1100 Arapahoe Street (the old laundromat), and $200 to help finance signs for Adventure West Tubing, a seasonal tube rental business running in the Golden Mill parking lot. The Jefferson Symphony Orchestra has requested $8500 to pay for the annual concert in Parfet Park that marks the end of the Fine Arts Festival. This year’s concert will take place on Sunday, August 19, 2018. See the meeting packet for more information.

The Local Licensing Authority meets tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday, June 19th) at 2:30 in City Council Chambers. They will review several applications for new licenses: a new restaurant (called “Launch) at 18455 W. Colfax Ave.; the new “Origin Red Rocks” hotel at 18485 W. Colfax Ave., and a new restaurant (called “Tributary Food Hall) at 701 12th St. Public hearing for each of these licenses will be held on July 25th.
The judge will also consider three request to modify premises for existing liquor licensed businesses: Barrels & Bottles plans a 5th anniversary party on September 2nd and 3rd, and they want to use the parking lot north of the building for their celebration. Dirty Dogs Roadhouse plans a special event on July 14th and they want to sell liquor in their parking lot that day. The Foss Company is reconfiguring the space for their liquor store at 1224 Washington Avenue. Based on the drawings provided, it looks like the new version of the store will be smaller and will be located only on the west side of the building. The storefront on Washington Avenue will be dedicated to a new retail use. See the meeting packet for more information.
