Sheep, Ducks, Orphans, and Spiritualism

This is the final day of the annual Buffalo Bill Days celebration.

There will be a community worship service in Parfet Park this morning from 9-10:15.  The Muttin Bustin’ contest takes place in Lions Park from 10-1.  A duck race take place starting at 1, at the pedestrian bridge over Clear Creek at Illinois Street.  There will be free train rides from 11-5 starting at the Visitors Center, at 10th & Washington.

The Golden Center of Dance will perform from 10:30-11:30.  Two Girls with Guitars will play from 12-1:30, and an Eagles tribute band will play from 2-5.  There will be food, beer, merchandise, and rides from 10-5 in Parfet Park.

We’ll have two car shows going on downtown.  Those in vicinity of 11th and Washington will be “Orphan” cars.  These are cars whose parent companies are no longer in existence.  The cars on Washington Avenue, from 11th -13th, are classics and street rods.

If none of that appeals to you, go to Foothills Art Center at 2 for a lecture on “Spiritualism in France, 1900.”  The curator of the current Toulouse-Lautrec exhibit will conduct a tour of the exhibit at 3.

Have fun today!
