About School of Rock at Miners Alley Performing Art Center:

Bringing Andrew Lloyd Webber’s award-winning smash hit musical from Broadway to Golden!

Based on the hilarious hit movie, this musical follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. While teaching pint-sized prodigies, Dewey falls for the school’s beautiful, but uptight headmistress, helping her rediscover the wild child within. Watch as this sub turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band, sensationally performed live by the production’s young actors every night!

Age recommendation: suitable for middle school and older

About the Civic Foundation:
Founded in 1970, GCF has invested over $19 million in the Golden community through grants/loans to nonprofits and loans to businesses. GCF's mission is to invest in the economic and cultural vitality of the Golden community. GCF has been a longtime supporter and partner of Miners Alley Performing Arts Center. GCF has provided many programming grants to Miners Alley over the years as well. Miners Alley has generously helped to raise funds for GCF through prior benefit preview shows. This partnership is a wonderful example of how Golden's nonprofits support one another, all "For the Good of Golden." For more info on GCF please visit www.goldencivicfoundation.org
