City Council meets tonight at 6:30 in City Council Chambers. The Mayor will proclaim May to be Mental Health Month. They will consider allowing the Parks & Rec department to hire a single firm to both design and build projects, rather than bidding those services separately. They will consider giving HOAs longer to comply with the solid waste & recycling ordinance. The Economic Development director will provide an update on efforts to support Council’s 2014/2015 initiatives.
The Public Works director will suggest a change in the design for the 6 and 19th interchange. The public’s preferred option included a tucked truck ramp, but by eliminating it, we would save $3.5 million.
The Finance Director will request the following increases to the 2015 budget: General fund: $556,908; Water Fund: $522.957; Wastewater Fund: $29,909; Community Center Fund: $264,000; Fleet Fund: $17,107; Medical Benefits Fund: $14,000; SUT Fund: $1,263,330; Capital Programs $202,700; Open Space: $10,000; Conservation Trust: $34,472.
For the details on any of these issues, see the Agenda, Minutes, Web Casts page on the city website. The meeting will be broadcast live via cable channel 8 and through the city website.
