If you’re a garage sale fan, this is your lucky day! About 20 homes in the Mountain Ridge neighborhood are having garage sales this morning from 8AM-noon. This annual event is sponsored by Jim Smith of Golden Real Estate. As mentioned yesterday, the first Golden Farmers Market of the year happens today at 10th & Illinois from 8AM-1PM. Try to make it for the ribbon-cutting at 9AM, to celebrate the new market managers and the new and returning vendors. Golden Pond Retirement Community at 1270 North Ford St. (map) is having their annual Car Show today from 11-3. Everyone is invited, and they’ll be serving free barbecue!
