The Golden Gate Grange is having their Holiday Craft Fair today from 9AM-4PM. Local artisans and crafters will offer a wide variety of items including photography, calendars, cards, handknit sweaters, pottery, leather goods, jewelry, handmade soap, Christmas decorations, unique handmade soaps, jams, jellies and other delectables, hand tooled pens, wooden toys, quilted items, knives, earth friendly crafts, and much more! Admission is free! Lunch will be available. Most vendors require cash or checks as there is no internet service. The Applewood Valley United Methodist Church is celebrating Veteran’s Day with a Chili Cook-Off and Musical Salute, featuring the music programs of AVUMC performing patriotic favorites and classics of American folk music. The Golden-based band, Thunder and Rain, will celebrate the release of their second studio album tonight at 7PM at the Buffalo Rose. The price at the door is $20. As you probably know, the Rose will be closing for about a year for a substantial remodel. Their last day will be next Saturday, November 18th.
