Parade
The CSM Homecoming parade will take place at 9 this morning along Illinois Street from 18th to 12th Street. The Homecoming Football Game against Fort Lewis College will be at noon in the Marv Kay Stadium.
Farmers Markets
The Golden Farmers Market (10th and Illinois) will run from 8AM-1PM. The Neighborhood Market (15th and Jackson Street) runs from 9AM-3PM.
Oktoberfests
There are two Oktoberfests today–one at Cast Iron Skillet (11AM-11PM) and one at Mountain Toad Brewing (12-11PM).
Calvary Church Tour
You have only two more chances to tour Calvary Episcopal Church, to celebrate their 150th Anniversary. Today and tomorrow from 12-2, enjoy a free tour featuring the history, art, and architecture of the church.
Beautiful Junk
This is the final day for the Beautiful Junk Sale at the Jeffco Fairgrounds. They have lots of fun stuff–cheap–and the proceeds benefit a great cause. They’re open from 8-4 today.
Walk for Freshwater
The Walk for Freshwater leaves from Golden High School this afternoon at 3. It’s not too late to register or donate.
Party at the Dog Park
There’s a party at the dog park in Tony Grampsas Memorial Sports Complex this evening from 4-9PM. Apollo Peak Pet Wines and Keller Williams are hosting an evening of wine and music to enjoy with your pets. “Pet Wine?” Despite the name, it’s non-alcoholic and contains things that pets tend to like, such as catnip and fish oil. The company that makes it, Apollo Peak, will also be serving wine-wine and will have live music. If you’ve always wanted to enjoy cocktail hour with your pet, here’s your chance to try it!
Drumline Concert
Golden High School’s amazing, award-winning Drumline is giving a concert tonight at 7 in the high school auditorium. Donations are accepted at the door.
