Ride the Rockies, a week-long bike ride sponsored by the Denver Post, will be finishing tomorrow in downtown Golden. This is not a bike race–it’s a pleasure ride through the Colorado Rockies, for non-professional riders.
The riders will be coming down Lookout Mountain on 19th Street and turning left onto Washington. The first riders are expected at about 10 and the last at about 3. 10th Street between Washington and Jackson will be closed all day. Washington Avenue from 10-12th will be closed from approximately 10 till 3. If you have more questions, refer to the City’s detailed event description.
The Denver Post Community Foundation donates to a local non-profit organization in each community along the route. In Golden, the money will go to the Golden Schools Foundation.
