The Quilt Museum is hosting a lecture this afternoon from 2-4: Buttonology 101. Jill Gorski is an expert on antique buttons and will provide a short history of buttons and their varied construction types. There will be special emphasis on their influence in the world of fashion over the years. She will give you tips on identifying any buttons you may have in your family “button jar,” as well as how to clean and care for them. If you have any special buttons you would like to share or have Jill help you identify, please bring them along.
