The Golden History Museum plans to deaccession a large collection of artifacts for which they have no provenance. The items, which will be disposed of through an auction house, include a collection of medical bottles and instruments, Victorian greeting cards, post cards, music for a player piano, 78 RPM records, old military uniform pieces, some enameled metal dishes, and many photographs of unidentified people, including World Wars I and II soldiers. The museum invites the public to help identify these artifacts before they get rid of them. A list is available here. The list is 222 pages long and the pictures are tiny, but if you think you might have insights into the people in the photos or any Golden associations with the artifacts, contact the museum. They will bring the articles from the storage unit to the museum for you to examine.
