The Library has LibLab Create today from 4-5. They’re doing Printmaking with Fruits & Veggies–creative celery, artistic artichokes, imaginative mushrooms! Create art using fruits and veggies. Experiment with food in the library laboratory. This event is open to grades 1-6.
The Golden Bike Cruise is tomorrow night (Tuesday the 26th). Meet in the parking lot at 10th & Illinois at about 6PM. Bob’s Atomic Burgers and New Belgium beer will be available, and there will be live music and a drawing for prizes. The ride will start at 7. Costumes are optional, but if you plan to wear one, go with Star Wars.
In addition to the adult prizes, they give away a kid’s bike at each ride. Adults get prize tickets by buying food or beer. There are three ways for youngsters to get their own chances to win the kids bike: 1) Show up. 2) Wear a costume! And 3) Bring a can or box of nonperishable food for the Christian Action Guild Foodbank. Be generous.
Sponsored by Golden Community Commons, the Golden Cruise is a great chance to support many non-profit organizations doing wonderful things in Golden. Each month, a different Golden non-profit helps with set-up, tear-down, and serving as course marshals. In exchange, that non-profit gets a portion of the beer sales. This month, Leadership Golden will be lending a hand. For more info, call Jill Powers at 720-331-9187.
