Donations can be made by cash or check (made to St. Joseph Catholic Church). All proceeds from the sale will go to BGoldN.

Dining Out
The City has blocked off the parking lanes downtown to provide the restaurants with outdoor seating. Tables will be appropriate distances apart. Each block still has two spaces set aside so you can stop to pick up take-out food. Assuming this works well, beginning next weekend they plan to close Washington Avenue every Saturday and Sunday for the duration. If you have been longing to go out to dinner, this is definitely your lucky day! Learn more….

Golden History Moment
70 Years Ago – The Citizens of Golden were being asked to given up their City Park so the County could build a new courthouse and the School of Mines could add several new buildings to their campus. The Colorado Transcript published the drawings above to encourage citizens to vote Yes on their June 6th ballots. They did. You can learn more about our long-lost City Park here.
The Golden Transcript (originally called the Colorado Transcript) has been publishing since 1866. The Golden History Museum has been working on digitizing the historic issues. You’ll find old Transcripts online at coloradohistoricnewspapers.org.
