City Meetings:
The will be a meeting-ful week in Golden: DDA on Monday, Local Licensing Authority AND Parks Rec and Museums on Tuesday, Planning Commission on Wednesday, and City Council on Thursday.
The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) will meet at 6:30 tonight in City Council Chambers. They will consider a $2500 grant request from Cafe 13, to be used as part of the cost of a new sign. The sign will aid in the restaurant’s re-branding effort. The name will remain the same, but a tag line will be added saying “Breakfast to Bourbon.” They will also review a $2597.34 grant request from The Wright, a conference of outdoor manufacturers that will meet in Golden April 30th – May 2nd. The money will be used to purchase banners for the downtown light poles.
Public Works plans to install signs on Ford Street to point drivers to the Coors tour or downtown/CSM. They hope this will reduce the traffic backups on that street. This is part of the “long-term vision” for Ford Street. If Ford Street affects your life, you should read the memo titled “9. Ford Street Memo-Modified Recommendation_11-27-18” in tonight’s meeting packet.
