The Colorado School of Mines Geology Museum has a new name: they’re now The Mines Museum. Like the school itself, they now use the tagline Earth – Energy – Environment. Whatever their name, they are holding their annual Open House tonight from 6-9PM. They do this shindig every year, during the Denver Gem & Mineral show. The displays will be great, as always, but you can also check out their much-expanded gift shop, AND…they’ll feed you. Enjoy free drinks and appetizers as you browse the exhibits and hob-nob with fellow rock enthusiasts. No cost to attend.
