Tonight is the LAST Movie & Music evening in Parfet Park. The Moses Jones Band will start playing at 7PM. The Star Wars movie, Rogue One, will begin at dusk. Bring a picnic and blankets or lawn chairs. It should be a beautiful night–low 70s with a waxing moon.

The Quilt Museum is having their annual Summer Garage Sale from 9AM-2PM. Pick from various types and patterns of fabric, quilting accessories and kits, quilts and quilt tops, and other miscellaneous items. If you are a quilter or crafter, you don’t want to miss this Garage Sale!
The District Attorney’s office is holding their annual Safety Fair at the Jeffco Fairgrounds from 9AM-1PM. At this one-stop safety shop, consumers can take advantage of document shredding, drug take-back, free 911 cell phones for seniors, free credit reports printed and reviewed by bank officers on-site, Internet and cell phone safety programs with CHEEZO, kids’ bicycle rodeo with free helmets, and much, much more. The Safety Fair begins outside at the fairgrounds with interesting exhibits and then continues inside through the main exhibit hall with 80+ booths. Parents will find interactive safety activities for kids as well as bouncy castles, face painting, and craft tables. Adults and seniors can browse row after row of booths with giveaways, demonstrations and handouts. Admission is free.
There will be a big celebration at the U.S. Marine Corps Memorial, celebrating its 40th Anniversary. Their guest speaker will be Major General James E. Livingston, USMC (R) Medal of Honor Recipient. The day will begin with a motorcycle ride from the Colorado Freedom Memorial in Aurora, past the Colorado Veterans Monument in Denver and out to the U.S. Marine Corps Memorial here in Golden. Bikers will line the street around the memorial with flags throughout the event. Professional entertainment, vendors, and a booth showcasing the remodel project will be on the grounds. Parking in the Home Depot lot or at the Jefferson County bldg…Shuttles will be available. They will have flyovers, an eagle for photo ops, food, and FUN!
