Honor an Extraordinary Woman
Do you know an extraordinary woman? The JeffCo International Women’s Day 2019 Advisory Board is soliciting nominations for the Unsung Heroine Award (one who has made quiet but impactful achievements) and the Shattered Glass Award (women who have achieved new heights in innovation, healthcare, sports, or community impact. Honorees will have broken the glass ceiling in their professional careers, shattered records, cracked a new code of discovery, or otherwise just rocked the world – true agents of positive change). Applications are available on on the IXPowerFoundation website. These awards will be given at the March 8th International Women’s Day Luncheon.
Attention Golden Business Owners:
The Fire Department will hold their Annual Firefighter Awards and Appreciation Banquet on January 26th. They are asking for your donations of a product or service for a firefighter or their family member in attendance at the banquet. Our firefighters are dedicated volunteers, so this is a highly worthy cause. If you’re interested in contributing, learn more by reading the full solicitation letter and using the donation form.
Help Make the Big Decisions
Are you interested in serving on one of Golden’s boards or commissions? It’s time to apply! City Council is recruiting applicants to fill expiring appointments to the Downtown Development Authority, Fire Pension Board, Parks, Recreation & Museums Advisory Board, Economic Development Commission, Public Art Commission and one appointment to Visit Golden.
