Many of us attended Craig Barnes’ talk last week about his book, Growing Up True. That was only the first of many events that the Golden Library has planned for our One Book, One Golden program. Several book discussion groups are planned for various times and locations, to encourage the greatest number of people to participate. The first discussion meets this afternoon at 2 PM at the library. If you can’t make this one, your other opportunities are as follows:
May 8th – 4:30 PM at the Golden Community Center’s Front Porch
May 14th – 6:30 PM at the Golden Library
August 30th – 5 PM at the Arthur Lake Library at the School of Mines
The Mountaineering Center will host an “Ultimate Hiking Gear and Skills Clinic” tonight from 7-9. Andrew Skurka will discuss the gear, supplies, and skills necessary to make hiking fun, not an arduous chore. See the calendar for more details.
