Plan to come downtown Saturday for the first Christmas parade, which will start at 11. The free horse-drawn carriage rides will begin immediately after the parade. Entertainers will stroll along the walkways. Stop by the Visitors Center to see their beautiful decorations, and enjoy cookies and candy. Small children will love the Newfoundland Dog Cart rides at 12th and Jackson. Stop in and visit the downtown merchants–they’re all holding open houses with special sales, refreshments, and entertainment, and they will be glad to see you!
