This December Santa is making a special stop at the Colorado Railroad Museum to pose for photos with visitors during the day from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.!* Take a fun & unique family holiday photo this special season! Admission: Museum Members and Children under 2 are free, Children $5, Adults $10, and Seniors $8. Tickets are available for purchase at the door, no reservations required. *Santa will take a short lunch break around noon.
Olde Golden Christmas on Parade 10:30-11
Saturdays in December, authentic and historic downtown Golden becomes a festive holiday center with traditional decorations and fun family events. The free Olde Golden Christmas Parade starts at 10:30 a.m. with cowboys on horses, floats, marching bands, old cars, elves on unicycles, the Grinch in his corvette, and, of course, Santa Claus. The parade winds down Washington Avenue with lots of activities before and after, including snappy barbershop quartets, hot cider, Victorian carolers, and antique fire trucks. Presented by the Golden Chamber of Commerce. Today’s Grand Marshal will be out new Fire Chief, Alicia Welch, with special guests Smokey the Bear and Woodsy Owl!

The Story of the Nutcracker at Miners Alley’s Children’s Theater 1PM
Nearly everyone knows the tale of the Nutcracker: A gift to Marie from her Godfather Drosslemeier on Christmas Eve. Sadly, the beautiful Nutcracker gets broken and later that night Marie goes to check up on it. To her surprise, it has come alive, and a story-within-the-story begins! The audience is invited to become a part of the Nutcracker story and everyone gets to live happily ever after.
