In light of the suddenly-lousy weather, tonight’s street fair has been cancelled. There are still fun things to do downtown.
The Golden Quilt Company will have their monthly “Quilt Till You Wilt” party from 5-11PM. Bring a project and a snack to share. They supply pizza and soft drinks. The cost is $5.
There will be a Golden Solar Tour tomorrow, and tonight, the group is holding an opening reception at the Mountaineering Center, including complimentary Colorado wine tasting and hors d’oeuvres from 4-8. The event is open to the public and will feature the FREE to attend GREEN EXPO, including Renewable Energy & Sustainable Living Exhibits, Workshops and an Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Round-Up. A Silent Auction will be held, and you will have an opportunity to talk with solar leaders in the community about some of Golden’s Solar initiatives. The Golden Solar Tour will be held Saturday October 5 with tickets at just $5 per adult and free for those biking the Tour.
