Because of the frigid temperatures, this morning’s Olde Golden Christmas festivities are canceled–the parade, the hayrides, the dog cart rides.
However, our stalwart District 2 City Council member, Casey Brown, is still hosting Coffee with a Councilor from 10 to 11AM at the Golden Community Center. He promises to bring plenty of hot coffee to offset the chill!
Free Carriage Rides on Sunday
You’ll probably have cabin fever by tomorrow, so here’s an alternative way to celebrate the season: take a free horse-drawn carriage ride through our historic downtown between noon and 3PM. Sunday is expected to be sunny with a high of 28. The carriages have blankets to keep you warm! The carriages are being sponsored this week by our friends at the Golden Super Cruise (who appreciate all forms of old transportation)!
