Recently our citizens have been victimized by a phone scam in which a scammer calls impersonating a law enforcement officer or other government official. The scammer scares the victim by telling them they have a warrant out for their arrest for infractions such as an unpaid traffic ticket, missed jury duty or failure to pay income tax. The scammer demands payment to clear up the matter, most recently demanding victims deposit money into a Coin Star machine. Coin Star allows you to deposit money and then transfer it to an account, create an eGift card or convert it into Cryptocurrency... Read more...
