The Downtown Development Authority meets tonight at 6:30 in City Council Chambers. Miners Alley Playhouse receives funds from the DDA, so their Executive Director will attend tonight’s meeting to describe their goals and accomplishments.

A potential purchaser for the mortuary building at 1100 Washington Avenue will attend tonight’s meeting. That should be interesting! Woods Mortuary actually filled two historic buildings. The one on the north side was built in 1872 as a grocery store. The one on the south side was built in 1877. Should be interesting to hear the potential buyers’ plans. The building has little to no parking of its own, which must be a complication for a developer.

The Buffalo Rose has closed, which will affect downtown sales tax for the coming year, but the Colorado Plus Cidery at 11th and Arapahoe (the former laundromat) is under construction.
