Block off tomorrow night for a Golden event! As we’ve mentioned before, the Golden Library is running a “One Book” program this year. All members of the Golden community are encouraged to read Growing Up True, by Craig Barnes. The book describes his experiences of growing up in rural Littleton, along the Highline Canal, right after World War II. It’s a wonderful book, very well written. The library has a series of events planned around the book this year, and this is the first: Craig Barnes is coming to Golden to talk about the book! He’ll be at the American Mountaineering Center (10th and Washington) at 7 PM. You must get tickets from the library’s reference desk ahead of time. The library is open from 12-8 today and 10-6 tomorrow.
