The School of Mines Library (1400 Illinois) will have a Concert at noon today. Joseph Armetta will perform Jazz Guitar. The concert is free and open to the public.
This is family day for the UllrGrass Festival. Here’s what they have on tap in Parfet Park, starting at 3PM: We will have an UllrEgg hunt, scavenger hunt, games, face painting, hula hooping, kids arts & crafts, and various food trucks! Don’t miss the interactive story of Ullr himself at 4 pm, narrated by Golden local Erinn Peet-Lukes and followed immediately with the Ullr Parade! We didn’t forget you, parents. Valhalla Happy Hour is from 3-4 pm: $3 ales and Screaming Viking Cocktails! To top it all off and most importantly, boogie down with music from Caribou Mountain Collective, Lineage Project, 300 Days, Lonesome Days and the winners of our 2017 Band Contest! The evening performance at the Buffalo Rose begin at 6:45. Tonight’s line-up includes Burn It Blue, Masontown, Jayme Stone & The Other Side of the Air, The UllrGrass AllStars, and Uptown Toodeloo String Band.
