The Colorado Mountain Club is holding a Backyard Benefit this afternoon from 3-6. Tickets are $15 for members and $20 for non-members, and they include food and drink, Giant Jenga, lawn games, corn hole, live music, slacklining, prizes and giveaways, AND you get to play in their bouldering bus! Proceeds benefit CMC’s youth education programs. Bring a picnic blanket and lawn chairs and get ready to have fun.
There will be a Golden Walk tonight at 7, leaving from Norman D Park, at 602 N. Ford St. (map). The group will follow the Tucker Gulch trail under Highway 93, visit the historic Brickyard House, and wander along the Hogback Ridge in North Golden. The walk will be approximately 3 miles, with some sloping hills. There is no charge to participate, and it’s a good chance to meet some of your fellow Golden-ites!
