Good news for procrastinating gardeners:
The pickup day for Gardens in a Box was yesterday, but if you failed to order one in time, you are unaccountably lucky this year. The City will accept orders through May 31st. There are even some $25 discounts available. Order your waterwise garden NOW (stop delaying already!) for June delivery.

Spring Yard Waste Collection
If you’re on the City’s trash program, this is your week to get rid of yard waste. Please have your yard waste out at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on your scheduled pickup day. Use compostable bags if you choose to bag your yard waste. (MEYER HARDWARE SELLS THEM, AND THEY’RE OPEN TILL 3 TODAY – map to Meyer’s). Yard waste in non-compostable plastic bags will not be picked up. NEW: Food donations welcome! Non-perishable items will be donated to a local food bank. More information….
