The Amendment 64 (recreational marijuana) task force gave their report to City Council at last Thursday’s meeting. You can watch their presentation online (find the April 24th meeting and click “Video”) or read the written report.
City Council will now consider the panel’s recommendations and will eventually pass an ordinance dictating whether Golden will allow sales of marijuana. If you want to contribute your own perspective, contact your Council representatives or email A64@cityofgolden.net. You can also address the council during the public comment periods at the May 8th or May 22nd Council meetings. There will be a public hearing on this subject at the June 5th Council meeting, which will be your last opportunity to weigh in.
