Monday 6:30PM – Historic Preservation Board will consider certificates of appropriateness for two projects. The owners of 1170 9th St. plan to demolish an existing garage to construct a new garage and accessory dwelling unit. The owners of 2400 Ford Street want to demolish their commercial building (formerly Checker Auto, a preschool, and various other businesses) to replace it with a 3 story mixed use building. “Mixed use” means commercial tenants on the first floor and residences above. Examples are the new buildings at 12th and Jackson and 13th and Jackson, on either side of the parking garage.
Wednesday 6:30PM – The Planning Commission will consider a Carmax dealership into the Interplaza area (Kohl’s and Home Depot). Slee Offroad wants to build an addition to their building at 700 Pine Ridge Road. And we may get a Harley-Davidson dealership on Highway 40 (Colfax) south of the quarry entrance and north of the entrance to I-70. For details, see the meeting packet.
Thursday 9AM – The Public Art Commission will review a map showing locations for future public art. They will approve the contract to install a giant hummingbird in the roundabout by King Soopers.
