Monday at 6:30 – GURA – meeting packet
The downtown urban renewal district will be sunsetting in 2014. Much of tonight’s meeting will focus on the Downtown Development Authority that may be set up to continue GURA’s work (subject to vote by downtown residents and property owners) as well as other areas in Golden that may be candidates for future urban renewal projects.

Wednesday at 6:30 – State of the City Address and Mayor’s Awards
Mayor Marjorie Sloan will describe the city’s accomplishments and challenges in this event at Fossil Trace. This will be followed by awards for several individuals and businesses that contribute to the vitality and overall success of the community. Learn more.
Thursday at 7 – City Council – meeting packet
City Council will hold public hearings on the South Neighborhood Plan and proposed new stormwater standards. They will also invite public comment on a proposed federal action regarding gun laws. Items without public hearings include a set of three lots on North Ford Street that may be subdivided into five lots; a resolution to support a proposed half marathon that would end at the Washington Avenue Welcome Arch; and a decision as to whether we should bid to host a stage in next year’s USA Pro Challenge bike race.
