This is the last day you can nominate someone for the Mayor’s Awards for Excellence. If you know a worthy soul, nominate them by 5 PM! The nomination form is simple, and it’s online, so you can do it right now.
The Historic Preservation Board meets tonight at 6;30 in City Council Chambers. They will review two plans for additions to houses in the East Street Historic District. A live audio feed will be available through the City’s website.
The Golden Urban Renewal Authority also meets at 6:30. They’ll be in the GURA office, at 922 Washington Avenue. They will review the 2013 budget-to-date and begin discussing the 2014 budget. They will also consider a grant request by PranaTonic (807 14th St.) to assist with the purchase of a sign.
