Saturday: Lots to Do Today!

The Farmers Market runs from 8-1 this morning, at 10th and Illinois. Those are almost done for the year, so enjoy it while you can!

Dinosaur Ridge is hosting a Dinosaur Discovery Day.  Today they’re focusing on natural disasters, so go learn about fires, floods, earthquakes, volcanoes, tornadoes, and more!  They’ll also have kid-friendly activities such as gold panning, metal-detecting, fossil-sifting, geode-cracking, and a scavenger hunt.

DocuWest will begin screening films at 11 and run through the evening.  (See today’s Buy Golden offer for a great deal on tickets!)

This is the opening weekend for Threepenny Opera at Miners Alley, which is already garnering rave reviews.

This is first day of the Colorado Railroad Museum’s Day Out with Thomas.  This annual event draws huge crowds and runs for three weekends.  Kids love this opportunity to ride on Thomas the Tank Engine, which is a character in a children’s show on PBS.  Tickets for this event sell out, particularly for the most popular times.  If you’re interested, check the online box office for tickets.
