The Colorado Cowboy Gathering continues in full force, so by all means plan to attend some of the poetry or music events. (All performances are backed by their Laugh Out Loud Guarantee.) While you’re in the cowboy mood, stop by Spirits in the Wind Gallery, because they’re hosting a special show called “Spirit of the Horse,” featuring some gorgeous western art.
As part of the Made in Golden exhibit, the Golden History Center will be firing up their 1910 Troy engine at 11:30. The demonstration is free with admission to the museum (members are always free).
The CSM Geology Museum will be hosting the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Fluorescent Mineral Society at 1 today. Everyone is welcome, and attendees will get a behind the scenes tour of the museum. (You also get to look at fluorescent minerals, so you know it will be cool!)
This is a Ride the Rails Saturday, so the Railroad Museum will be offering train rides around the museum grounds from 10-4.
Grubstake will be playing folk music at Miners Alley at 7:30 this evening, courtesy of Acoustic Alley.
