The Astor House is hosting a program from 9:30 to 11 called “Freshly Brewed History.” A speaker will discuss urban agriculture. This will be followed by a discussion of sustainability in Golden. Coffee and pastries will be available.
Also at 9:30, Steve Stevens will lead a 19-20 mile Earth Day bike ride, which will include several stops to see sustainability landmarks.
A group will be cleaning up along Clear Creek. All are invited to participate. Bags and gloves will be provided.
Free compost, donated by Whole Foods, will be available at the Clear Creek history park. Please bring your own containers and limit yourself to 6 gallons.
Art on the Brix is running classes making art from recycled bicycle parts. Get 50% off the class if you ride your bike to get there!
Finally, the National Renewable Energy Lab is holding an open house from 9-4 today.
