If you’ve been following the plan to build a 44 unit apartment building at 24th and Ford, you will be interested to hear that the decision to build has been appealed. City Council will hear the case on October 13th.
This is a legal proceeding, and the city councilors aren’t allowed to discuss it outside of that night’s hearing. So if you run into them at the grocery store, don’t try to engage them on the subject–they can’t talk about it. There’s a note on the City’s homepage that explains the appeal process.
This is the second-to-last Farmer’s Market of the year, so GO–enjoy it while you can! They’re there from 8AM-1PM. This is also the last weekend for Thomas the Tank Engine‘s visit at the Railroad Museum.
Are you going to the Golden Gallop tomorrow morning? You can run or you can walk, 5K or 10K. There’s also a short fun run along the creek for kids. If you don’t plan to run, just go downtown to watch–most of the participants live in Golden and it benefits the Golden Schools Foundation. It’s fun! The race starts at 8AM, led by Riley, the mustang mare! Learn more.
