Tonight from 6:30-7:30 at the Library, learn The Story of Beer. Discuss the origins and history of Beer with Active Minds. Learn how it’s made, the different types of beer, and hear the stories of the rise of several great American brewers and beer families. Learn about current trends in microbrews and craft beers and their strong Colorado connections. Cheers!
Wednesday
Tomorrow, the Local Liquor Licensing Authority will meet at 2:30 in City Council Chambers. The Briarwood, Dagotto’s, and Heritage Liquor (750 Heritage Rd) will be renewing their licenses. A new business, Dirty Dogs Roadhouse at 17999 W. Colfax, will be transferring the license from the previous owner of that business. Rocky Mountain Organic Medicine (medical marijuana) at 511 Orchard Street has been purchased and the previous and new owners have applied to transfer the license.
The Community Sustainability Board will meet tomorrow night at 6PM in City Council Chambers. Staff will recap the sustainability efforts at the summer events. The group will discuss Golden’s permit fees for solar installations and will discuss a recommendation for changes to City Council. They will review progress on establishing an energy advisory program for Golden businesses and resident. They will discuss proposed changes to the city’s investment policy to include sustainability criteria.
