Golden's One Book, 2012
Many cities around the country have “One Book” programs, designed to encourage many people to read and discuss a particular book. The Golden Library has chosen one for 2012–Growing Up True: Lessons of a Western Boyhood. The author, Craig S.. Barnes, grew up south of Golden during and after World War II. The library will host various programs throughout the year, including a visit from the author. Read it, so you’ll be in the know! If you’re in a book club, suggest that you read and discuss this book as a group sometime this year.
