Liquor Licensing News and Book Groups

The Local Licensing Authority meets at 2PM in City Council Chambers. Bonfire Burritos, which has been operating out of a trailer on South Golden Road for several years, has applied for a liquor license to be used at 2221 Ford St. That’s the former frame shop, and–for those with long memories–the former Taco John’s and Taco Mesa. The Colorado Plus Cidery & Pub (1100 Arapahoe Street) is requesting permission to extend liquor service into their parking lot for a special event on June 29th. Dirty Dogs Roadhouse (17999 W. Colfax) is requesting to serve liquor in their parking lot during special events on May 26th and June 1st. Foss Company Liquor (1224 Washington Ave.) has applied for a permit to do “tastings” every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 2-7PM from May 16th – April 9th of next year. Golden Liquor at 601 13th St. has applied to do tastings Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from now through September and assorted dates after that. See the meeting packet for more info….

The Utility Rate Citizen Committee will meet at 6PM in the Public Works Building, 1445 10th St. This group is reviewing our water and wastewater rates. Learn more….

The Parks, Recreation, and Museum Advisory Board is scheduled to meet at 7PM at the Community Center. They will discuss the Lubahn Trail Hours and Lubahn Trail maintenance options, the City’s RV Park, and weed management. See the meeting packet for more info….

The Citizens Budget Advisory Committee will meet tomorrow morning at 7:30 in City Council Chambers. They will review a planned $2 million budget amendment and, in light of the planned purchase of a new municipal center, will review the City’s debt management policies.
