The Local Licensing Authority meets today at 2:30 in City Council Chambers. Tequila’s is renewing their liquor license. Sodexo, which does the food service on the CSM campus, is converting from a Hotel and Restaurant License to a Campus Liquor Complex License. A new restaurant called Vice Kitchen Wine & Whiskey, at 18445 W. Colfax has submitted an application for a license. Finally, the new hotel, Origin Red Rocks, will have the public hearing for their license at this meeting. More info….

Jeffco Open Space is hosting Firewise – Learning to Protect Property Against Wildland Fire from 6-7:30 at 700 Jefferson County Parkway. Colorado’s Front Range is home to many landowners whose property may be vulnerable to periodic wildland fires. Aaron Betcher, Jeffco’s Fire Management Officer, will speak about the Firewise program and concept. This national program teaches people how to create defensible space, select fire resistant vegetation and how to harden your home against wildfires. Firewise encourages neighbors and community’s to work together and take action now to prevent losses and ensure public safety.
