The Railroad Museum will hold their monthly story time and craft at 10 this morning.
The Liquor Licensing Authority meets at 2PM today in City Council Chambers. They’ll consider Change of Manager records for the Diamond Shamrock at 17691 W. Colfax; Indulge Golden (1299 Washington Ave.), and the Foss Company liquor store. They will hold a public hearing for a new Hotel and Restaurant Liquor License for Vice Kitchen Wine & Whiskey (18445 W. Colfax). The Arthur Lakes Library on the School of Mines campus will host an ED Talk this afternoon at 4PM. Ed Raines, the Collection Manager for the Geology Museum will continue his series of lectures on the mining history of Colorado from the Gilman District to Leadville.
Tonight from 6-8PM at the Unitarian Church (14530 W. 32nd Ave. – map), the League of Women Voters and the Jefferson Unitarian Church Community Action Network (JEC CAN) will present a Colorado Candidate Community Forum. Invited candidates include those from Treasurer, Assessor, Clerk and Recorder, Sheriff and Coroner races. Get engaged in local government and make a difference in your community.
The Tuesday Night book group will meet at the Library from 6-7PM. Tonight’s book is Sing, Unburied, Sing by Jesmyn Ward.
The Parks, Recreation, and Museum Advisory Board will meet at 7 this evening in the Community Center. They will discuss the controversial Single Track Sidewalks proposed for the southwest neighborhoods and hear a presentation about the Peaks to Plains Trail.
