Library Events, Choir, Historic Properties, and Monday Nightlife

It’s a good day to take the little ones to the library. From 11:15-11:45, they’ll have Let’s Dance for Babies, Preschoolers and Toddlers. From 12:15-12:45, they’ll have Preschool Time–sing, rhyme, dance, and craft together!


The Golden Concert Choir is having a membership night, from 6:30-9 this evening. New members are welcome, and no preparation is required. The choir’s Director will have you work through some vocal exercises to evaluate your voice range and tonality, note retention, sight reading and rhythm abilities. You must be 13 or older to join. The Historic Preservation Board will meet at 6:30 this evening in City Council Chambers. They will consider an application for a Part One State Tax Application for renovations made to 912 Arapahoe Street in the 8th & 9th Street Historic District. They will also review plans for construction of a second story addition to a detached garage to accommodate an accessory dwelling unit at 1205 9th Street in the 8th & 9th Street Historic District. New Terrain Brewing will host Fireside Pickers beginning at 6 this evening, and Woody’s Pizza will have College Night starting at 9PM–All U Can Eat Pizza for $7.


Tuesday Preview
The School of Mines will resume classes tomorrow. Golden Beer Talks will start at 6:30 at Windy Saddle Cafe. This month’s speaker is Dr. Tom Casadevall of the US Geological Survey. His topic is “Preserving and Promoting America’s Geoheritage.” The Economic Development Commission will meet at 6:30 at the Public Works Building, 1445 10th Street.
