8AM-1PM The final Golden Farmers Market for 2019 happens this morning at 10th and Illinois. Today’s Golden Cultural Alliance guests are the Colorado Cowboy Gathering (which happens in January) and the Colorado Environmental Film Festival (which happens in February).
9AM-4PM – Metro Denver Green Homes Tour 2019. Several of this year’s homes are in and near Golden, so take a self-guided tour and see first hand how Colorado homeowners are saving money and resources at our 23rd annual Metro Denver Green Homes Tour. You’ll have the opportunity to visit a wide variety of homes to explore what individuals have done to create pleasing, comfortable, high-performance home environments. More information and tickets

10AM-6PM The Off-Grid Expo is open at the Jeffco Fairgrounds from today. Learn how to live life “away from it all,” or just enjoy looking at all the great ways to enjoy the outdoors! They have several interesting talks scheduled today, such as “Sustaining Your Off-Grid Property, “An Innovative Model for Future Farming and Solar Practices,” and “Passive House Design.” They will also have live music, food trucks, and an archery course. 11AM-8:30PM Brews with Benefits
Golden City Brewery is generously donating 10% of sales to Foothills Art Center on Saturday, October 5th from 11 am – 8:30 pm. The proceeds will go towards making a darkroom in the Peterson Classroom. Thank you for supporting the arts!
