This afternoon at 2 o’clock, New York Times bestselling author Sandra Dallas will sign copies of her newest book, Fallen Women. The current exhibit, Material Witnesses: New Work from the Manhattan Quilters Guild, closes on the 29th, so this will be one of your last chances to see it. Regular museum admission will be charged.
Speaking of last chances, today at 2 PM is the final performance of I Never Promised You a Rose Garden at Miners Alley Playhouse. The performance is dedicated to Rick Bernstein and Paige Larsen, the founders of the Playhouse. Please join them for the show and after-party. Tickets are $35. If you can’t make the show, please join them for the party and toasts afterwards, starting at 4:30 p.m. Suggested donation is $10. If you cannot attend, but you’d like to honor Rick and Paige please consider a donation to Miners Alley in their name. To donate, please click here.
This is also the last day of the Fall Whale of a Used Book Sale at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds. This is bag day, which means that you get whatever you can fit in a grocery-sized bag for just $6. They are open from 11-3. Remember, all proceeds from this book sale support the Jefferson County Library System (which includes our own Golden Library).
