The Public Art Commission has been discussing a project to place murals all around town. Jefferson County Public Health has approached them to see whether the murals could focus on public health issues.
The long-awaited Tributary Food Hall will open this Friday. I had the opportunity to visit last night, and I think people are going to like it. Their mix of restaurants includes things not currently available in Golden, such as a bagel place, a curry shop, a seafood kitchen (including a raw bar), a Hawaiian superfoods cafe (can you say “açaí”?–me neither), and gelato. Add to those exotic new elements a coffee shop, gourmet sandwich purveyor, Neapolitan-style pizza and an excellent bar, and we have a place well worth visiting.
The seating is comfortable. They have a long table inside, which they will encourage groups to reserve for community gatherings. Their outdoor seating overlooks 12th Street. Perhaps most interesting–they plan to let people order online from any of the restaurants and pick up the order at the window. That’s a nice feature when ordering for a crowd with divergent tastes. We’re having a Golden Weekend (music and carriage rides) this Friday, so you should plan to visit the Food Hall while you’re down there.
